ABOUT Betsy

BETSY SCHULTZ, a filmmaker raised in Maryland and currently based in New York, is a graduate of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television and a joint minor in Computer Science and Mathematics, Betsy brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to the world of storytelling. She is primarily focused on cinematography and crafting compelling short-form videos, creating visual narratives that resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impact.

In her time at NYU, Betsy's passion for film took her to Prague for the 35mm Visual Storytelling program at FAMU, where she directed and shot a sync sound film using ARRI film cameras. The following year, she shot her thesis film, "NYU Violets: NCAA Bound," a captivating documentary following NYU's Women's Soccer team, capturing their journey to the NCAA tournament.

Betsy has seamlessly integrated her technical skills into real-world experiences. As a Production & Marketing Intern at Luminoustudios, she plays a vital role in camera operations, grip work, and production design, contributing to projects for clients like H&M and Remitly.

With a diverse skill set covering camera operation, lighting, video editing, and more, Betsy is not just a filmmaker; she's a storyteller who brings narratives to life with a perfect blend of creativity and precision.
